Quilt Ministry

From the Quilt Ministry’s inception in 2004, this group of dedicated and caring women have felt called by God to provide comfort to anyone in special need of prayer.  Recipients of quilts have ranged from those with medical conditions,  family tragedies or spiritual needs to those in the military or mission fields or those facing terminal illnesses.  No need is too small.  Just under 1000  quilts have been sent to 29 states and 14 foreign countries.  These quilts are symbols of the power of prayer and serve as a tangible witness of God’s love and caring as they provide physical and spiritual comfort.  Once the quilt is made it is placed in the Fellowship Hall with an explanation of the need, and members of the congregation tie a knot in the quilt as they pray for the person in need.
